The Circle-jerk of Pomposity

I have to say that I appreciated Bill Maher's New Rule on the Democratic Primary, taking us to task about our bemoaning the heated race between Clinton and Obama.

I admit that I've been prone to do so, see The Breaking Point and The Tipping Point. His point is well taken. The only area of disagreement is when the sparring becomes so negative in intensity that it harms the winner, whoever it may be, in the fall against the other guy, McOldie.

I especially liked his tribute to us political junkies on the internet: which "enables pompous blow hearts to connect with other pompous blow hearts in a vast circle jerk of pomposity." I presume he sees that as a good thing, right?
