I'm So Blue

Blue is the color of the sky and sea -- and because of these associations, the color is considered beneficial to the mind and body. Blue symbolizes tranquility and calmness. Blue is also one of my favorite colors.

We went to a blue event last night, which showcased the African American Museum in Philadelphia, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. The museum is located in the newly renovated Franklin Square area (see also, Philly's Franklin Square gets a face-lift).

Blue is also the color of fun, which the evening was. We wandered through the gallery while listening to the sounds of jazz. We mingled with friends and enjoyed a wonderful array of food. The event qualified as enchanted -- and it was; it was designed and organized by a friend of ours -- Enchanted Events.

And in the small world department, as we were leaving, we met the CEO of the Museum, Romona Riscoe Benson. It turns out that she and my husband Dave knew each other from our Pittsburgh days.
